Albert Oehlen: Big Paintings By Me With Small Paintings By Others

Sept 5, 2021 – Feb 20, 2022
LAC Lugano Arte e Cultura, Piazza Bernardino Luini 6, 6900 Lugano, Switzerland

“I could say something about each work, but I’m too lazy,” says the German abstract artist Albert Oehlen. “In any case, I can affirm that most of them are, in one way or another, connected to my own work.” Oehlen is talking about the art he’s chosen from his own collection to be exhibited alongside his work. It’s the artist as curator—and also the artist exploring his influences and affinities. Among the artists included are Daniel Richter, Bruno Goller, Jeff Koons, Konrad Klapheck, Malcolm Morley, Peter Brüning, Richard Artschwager, and Julian Schnabel. —E.C.
