Situated on Spain’s low-key Balearic island (sister to the larger party magnets, Mallorca and Ibiza), the Galería Cayón—a cavernous space of unfinished rusted walls—provides a stark setting for the playfully abstract, brightly colored grids of American painter Stanley Whitney. On the ground is a re-creation of Yves Klein’s monochrome blue installation, Pure Pigment, a major moment from 1957. —J.V.
