The Arts Intel Report

#WrightVirtualVisits

“The mother art is architecture,” said Frank Lloyd Wright. “Without an architecture of our own we have no soul of our own civilization.” Visiting the visionary interiors of Wright’s buildings won’t be possible for some time, but Wright Virtual Visits allows us to move through Wright’s public buildings online; among the classics are Fallingwater, Hollyhock House, Unity Temple, and Taliesin West. Every Thursday, at ten A.M., P.S.T., a new building will open its doors through video. As Barbara Gordon, executive director of the Frank Lloyd Wright Building Conservancy, says, “It is precisely at this time, when so many are shut inside, that we need to experience beauty and inspiration.” —E.C.
