Floating in pandemic limbo for two years, Mansa Ra’s play … What the End Will Be has finally premiered. The comedy is set in a suburb of Atlanta, in the living room of a house where three generations of gay Black men live. The aged Bartholomew is dying of bone cancer and his son, Maxwell, is in deep denial. Meanwhile, Maxwell’s teenage son, Tony, is still figuring out his sexuality. Confronted with mortality, Maxwell is forced to reflect on what his life could have been, while his son is concerned with what his life can be. Margot Bordelon directs. —Jensen Davis
