Since he became an actor at age 29, Gabriel Byrne has appeared in more than 70 films, starred in plays in the West End and on Broadway, and been nominated for nearly two dozen awards (he’s won several, including a Golden Globe). In 2021, Byrne told the hidden stories of his childhood in Ireland and his adult life in front of a camera in the memoir Walking with Ghosts. Soon after, the book was adapted into a solo show.
