“I want my museum to be a single block, a labyrinth, a great surrealist object,” said Salvador Dalí. “The people who come to see it will leave with the sensation of having had a theatrical dream.” A whimsical red structure in the heart of his hometown of Figueres, Catalonia, the Dalí Theatre-Museum is nothing short of what the artist envisioned. It served as the town theater when Dalí was a child, and the artist himself is buried in a crypt below the theater’s stage. This virtual tour gives a preview of what lies within the museum’s walls. —E.C.
