The powers that be at The Shed believe that “access to art and culture is a right and not a privilege.” To drive this point home, they have created an online platform where artists are invited to contribute artwork, playlists, and thoughts about creativity during a time of pandemic. On May 17, for one night only, The Shed will host a special edition on Zoom, in honor of those fighting on the front lines. There will be music, performance, and discussions surrounding the issues of the day. The message? Art and culture unite us in mourning and in hope. —E.C.
