Headlong Productions in association with the BAFTA-winning Century Films, is testing the theory that coronavirus begets creativity with its series of eight new digital plays. Combining live material and work pre-recorded using digital conference technology, these intimate new plays seek to offer insight into how community, education, work, relationships, family, culture, climate, and capitalism are changing at an unprecedented rate. Working alongside a handful of directors, writers offering their pens and perspective for these plays, include April De Angelis (My Brilliant Friend), James Graham (Ink, Coalition, Brexit: An Uncivil War, Labour of Love), and Prasanna Puwanarajah (Nightwatchman, Patrick Melrose, Doctor Foster). —B.A.
