Daido Moriyama and the late Shōmei Tōmatsu, both born in the 1930s, are Japanese photographers who’ve sought to capture the movement and vibrancy of Tokyo. Moriyama explores the emotional impact of consumerism, whereas Tōmatsu documented scenes with social and political content. Now their eclectic visions of Tokyo come to Rome. The exhibition promotes a unique dialogue between two of the most fascinating cities in the world. —Thalia Bonas
