Come for the story—which whisks you back to Ancient Egypt—stay for the music, composed by the Academy Award-winning (three times!) Stephen Schwartz (Godspell, Wicked). Based on the DreamWorks Animation film, which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, the musical will feature the Academy Award-winning song “When You Believe,” originally recorded by Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey in 1998. The stage adaptation will also include 10 new songs by Schwartz. —J.V.
