In this black comedy—written by Ed Solomon and directed by Steven Soderbergh—a once-renowned London painter (Ian McKellen) is nearing the end of his life. Having failed to complete his legendary series of portraits “The Christophers,” he is now reduced to paid appearances on reality TV. His children (James Corden and Jessica Gunning) hatch a plan to hire a forger (Michaela Coel) to create the final paintings in secret. They will then be sold for millions. The scheme is framed as a long-overdue compensation for their father’s failures. Talk about daddy issues! —Carolina de Armas
