After a sold-out run at the Public Theater, this twinset of one-man plays—starring heartthrobs Tom Sturridge and Jake Gyllenhaal—moves to Broadway for a two-month run. Both actors play young dads; both have worked before with their respective playwrights, Simon Stephens and Nick Payne; and the two men have also worked with each other, co-starring in the recent film Buzzshaw. The result: “the most stripped-down storytelling on Broadway right now,” according to the New York Times. —J.V.
