The actors Noah Jupe and Sadie Sink did not have normal childhoods. At the age of 10, both were pros, Jupe acting in Downton Abbey and Sink on Broadway in the title role of the musical Annie. Their careers skyrocketed when they joined the globally recognized franchises A Quiet Place and Stranger Things. Together, the two actors are making their West End debut in a new production of Romeo and Juliet, directed by Robert Icke, who has also brought us versions of Hamlet and Oedipus. The play is set in what Icke calls a “version of now” Verona, but the rest unfolds as the classic tragedy that has endured for centuries. —Maggie Turner
