It was only recently that Spain saw 39 of Rembrandt’s portraits on its soil for the very first time. Showcased alongside works by other Golden Age masters (among them, Thomas de Keyser and Nicolaes Pickenoy), the exhibition sheds light on Rembrandt’s widespread influence as well as his peerless sense of detail. Forced into closing early, the exhibit now lives on in virtual form, with a toggle feature that allows one to navigate its halls and galleries. The museum’s staggering permanent collection is also accessible. —E.C.
