Nicolas Party’s candy-colored art may remind viewers of computer-generated objects in a virtual space. Working in pastel, he plays with color and form, allowing strange worlds to spring up like mutant mirages. The works in Party’s first large solo exhibition are divided thematically into still lifes, landscape, and portraiture, and recent pieces are presented in immersive environments.
