New Orleans Book Festival

Mar 9–11, 2023
6823 St Charles Ave, New Orleans, LA 70118

In the beginning of March, the third New Orleans Book Festival returns to the campus of Tulane. Three days of festivities include readings, panels, and talks with more than 100 writers, among them non-fiction authors such as Malcolm Gladwell and Thomas Beller, high-profile journalists Carl Bernstein and Maggie Haberman, and novelists Dana Spiotta and Geraldine Brooks. Chefs, economists, and policymakers who have written books are participating as well. The most exciting event of the festival? AIR MAIL’s Co-Editor Alessandra Stanley and Deputy Editor Nathan King will speak with The New York Times’s Maureen Dowd and New York Magazine’s Shawn McCreesh in a panel titled “Stop the presses! Adventures (and Misadventures) in Journalism,” taking place on Friday, March 10, at two P.M. The festival is co-chaired by Walter Isaacson—who has written biographies of luminaries such as Steve Jobs, Henry Kissinger, and Albert Einstein—and Cheryl Landrieu, a lawyer and author. Free and open to the public. —Jensen Davis
