The Museum Berggruen’s collection boasts hundreds of artworks by modern masters, among them Paul Klee, Henri Matisse, Georges Braque, Alberto Giacometti, and Pablo Picasso. Last year, many of these masterpieces began a tour of Asia. The exhibition debuted in Tokyo last winter, traveled to Osaka in the spring, and now comes to UCCA Edge, in Shanghai, for the summer. Almost 100 works—paintings, sculpture, paper cutouts, and other media—trace the development of modernism through the movements of Fauvism, Cubism, and Surrealism. —Elena Clavarino
