“I always think the whole history of the world is in your body,” the American artist Kiki Smith once said. Viscera, bones, breasts have been her subjects. Sculptures of a woman stepping out of a wolf, or birthed by a deer, are her own modern myths. And Smith’s recent tapestries imagine a surreal Eden, all life ecstatically interwoven. Smith’s search for the primal connection between things, as the exhibition title implies, proceeds. —L.J.
