Before dedicating himself to sculpting, American-born Keith Edmier trained as a prosthetic special effects artist for the film industry. Though he has since abandoned film work, Edmier’s art retains the lifelike qualities he learned on set. In this online exhibition, a four-sculpture series centers on the lives of women. The subjects are both historical and mythological, and their stories intertwine factually and aesthetically. —E.C.
