Everyone processes heartbreak differently. Some distract themselves, some wallow, and some, well, at least one, reenact the entire relationship and turn it into a piece of art. When the French-Dominican photographer Karla Hiraldo Voleau found out that her lover was living a double life, she broke up with him. Then she hired a model who looked exactly like him and recreated the last few months of their relationship. In this case, art definitely imitates life. Or, perhaps, rewrites it. —Clara Molot
