John Mulaney Presents: Everybody's in L.A.

John Mulaney hosts six live episodes for Netflix’s John Mulaney Presents: Everybody’s in L.A.

Ever since John Mulaney’s comic summary of Field of Dreams at this year’s Academy Awards, there’s been a campaign to get the man a hosting role. Netflix has finally granted that wish with Everybody’s in L.A., a take on talk shows hosted by Mulaney. The S.N.L. writer turned standup comedian talks to “everybody” who’s in Los Angeles—the “everybody” being comedians who’ve converged on the city for the star-studded “Netflix Is a Joke” comedy festival. Jumping between live couch interviews, pre-taped field skits, and musical performances, the show is a bit frenetic. Luckily, the six live episodes include appearances by veteran comedians such as Jerry Seinfeld, Jon Stewart, Will Ferrell, and Andy Samberg. —Paulina Prosnitz
