In tribute to a revered woman and artist, the Metropolitan Opera hosts a celebration that includes Met artists, dancers from the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, and a number of speakers, among them Anna Deavere Smith and Gloria Steinem. The event begins at 3pm and is open to the Public. —L.J.
