Need some new punk-rock music? Look no further than the new Viagra Boys album, Cave World. They keep the sound raw and rugged, with a grungy string section and piercing synths paving the way for singer Sebastian Murphy’s vocals. He’s a compelling storyteller in the leadoff song, “Baby Criminal,” and continues to be so throughout the album on tracks such as “Troglodyte” and “The Cognitive Trade-Off Hypothesis.” We think the album’s most popular single, “Punk Rock Loser,” might be this generation’s new punk anthem.
