Besides having designed some of the most inventive and deeply American fashions of the 20th century, Isaac Mizrahi is also a man of the stage. He’s designed costumes for plays, dance, and opera, has starred in cabaret and a one-man show Off Broadway, and has made guest appearances in a number of television shows, most recently in the Prime series Étoile. He can also be seen in the Timothée Chalamet film Marty Supreme. Mizrahi is an ebullient and witty raconteur, and now he’s coming to 54 Below, which prides itself on preserving and expanding the art of the cabaret. The New York Times calls Mizrahi “a founding father of a genre that fuses performance, art, music and stand-up comedy.” The six-piece band is led by Ben Waltzer. —Laura Jacobs
