Head Hi 3rd Annual Lamp Show

Feb 26 – Mar 26, 2022
146 Flushing Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11205

Located very near the Brooklyn Navy Yard, Head Hi is a neighborhood shop for coffee, art, and literature (it offers “a curated selection of publications from around the globe”). At 500 square feet, it can also double as a gallery, which it is doing now for its 3nd Annual Lamp Show. The first show was in 2019 and already it’s a Brooklyn tradition. Head Hi sent out a call for lamps from “everyone and anyone” and received admissions fine, funky, and found. The pieces this year come from 50 “lampers”—designers, craftspeople, and those who tinker at home—and cost from $100 to $10,000. These are illuminated—and illuminating—objects. —Laura Jacobs
