Frida Orupabo’s splintered photographs and photo collages tell stories about race, sexuality, violence, and post-colonial identity. In this exhibition, shots of African American figures are scattered across white walls, sometimes cutout and pinned up in ghostly levitation. Within this history-haunted space, some people are dismembered, some are uncanny, and others stare at us with unsettling knowledge. —E.C.
