When comedy crosses continents it often needs a bit of translation. Even Ricky Gervais’s “The Office” had to be Americanized by Steve Carell. Phoebe Waller-Bridge transcends all that. In the years since its first showing at the 2013 Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Fleabag has captured a global audience via stage and screen. (An adaptation of the one-woman play premiered as a television series in 2016, and concluded its second and final season this past spring.) Now, Fleabag comes to the West End for its last-ever run—30 performances that end on September 14. —J.V.
