Fall for Dance

Oct 21–26, 2020
131 W 55th St, New York, NY 10019, USA

Ever since it was established in 2004, Fall for Dance has been a signal autumn event in Manhattan. Presented by the New York City Center, this fall festival brings together cutting edge, emerging, and established artists from all forms of dance, which means it’s a great sampler of the current scene. This year, two programs will be filmed live on the City Center stage and then streamed. The offerings are special, and include new works by Jamar Roberts and Christopher Wheeldon; Natasha M. Diamond-Walker performing Martha Graham’s early expressionist masterpiece Lamentation (1930); and the not-to-be-missed male duet from Lar Lubovitch’s beloved Concerto Six Twenty-Two, danced by Adrian Danchig-Waring and Joseph Gordon, principal dancers at the New York City Ballet. Both shows premiere at seven-thirty P.M. E.T. and remain available on demand through Sunday, November 1, on City Center’s website. Tickets are reasonably priced at $15 per program. —L.J.
