Eiffel Tower Virtual Tour

This tower of wrought iron was named after its engineer, Gustave Eiffel, who began its construction in 1887. Two years, 18,000 metal parts, and 7,300 tons of iron later, the 1,000-foot masterpiece was complete. Needless to say, it has since become a symbol of both Paris and France, attracting tourists from everywhere in the world. Here’s a chance to skip the queue and get a good spot at “the top,” 276 meters up, the City of Light at your feet—complete with audioguide and virtual tour. —E.C.
