Work by the Scottish photographer Dougie Wallace brings certain adjectives to mind—crude, energetic, raw. When the coronavirus restrictions began falling away in 2021, Wallace loitered around Soho, London, and recorded the crowds as they returned to this culturally rich, historically LGBTQ+ area. Parties, joy, and community are captured by his camera. “Soho Unlocked” offers a selection of pictures from the reawakening—images emblematic of our times and shouting, The future is rainbow! —Elena Clavarino
