In the short film Date Night, Beyoncé and Jay-Z are whizzing through New York City in a Rolls Royce, contentedly sipping champagne and sharing pizza. An attentive eye will notice Jean Schlumberger’s “Bird on a Rock” brooch pinned to Jay-Z’s lapel. A Tiffany classic, this particular bird is made of 18k gold and it perches on a 44-carat morganite gemstone. Beyoncé wears a 10-carat Alisa diamond ring and a pair of Ribbon Fan earrings. “Love is the diamond that the jewelry and art decorate,” the Carters explain. This is a bonus film, directed by acclaimed director Dikayl Rimmasch, for the “About Love” Tiffany campaign. And it’s for a good cause. Tiffany & Co. has partnered with BeyGOOD and the Shawn Carter Foundation, pledging $2 million in scholarship funding to historically Black colleges and universities. —E.C.
