“Dreams are as simple or as complicated as the dreamer,” Brian Herbert, the fantasy fiction writer, once said. What if the dreamer is a Holocaust surviver, a woman who over 35 years of psychoanalysis amassed 10,000 pages of dream diaries? Artist Daria Martin’s grandmother was that woman. In an immersive, multimedia installation that combines recollected imagery, film, and computer gaming technology, Martin ventures into the depths of her grandmother’s complicated subconscious. —E.C.
