At RomaEuropa Festival 2025, the Italian choreographers Antonio de Rosa and Mattia Russo (collectively known as Kor’sia) enter sci-fi terrain with an immersive work that blurs the line between the real and the virtual (October 7 and 8). The freakiness of Christos Papadopoulos’s latest is more psychological. My Fierce Ignorant Step transmits “waves of collective memories” through microcosmic shifts in the dancing. A big claim, yet the Greek choreographer’s last work, which won the prestigious Rose competition at Sadler’s Wells this year, succeeded in a similar maneuver. Papadopoulos choreographs even the eyeballs, the breath (November 14 to 16). Plus, Moritz Ostruschnjak, who has made it his choreographic business to scan social media for source material, premieres NON + ULTRAS (November 1 and 2), a spirited gestural piece for eight dancers and 500 bright sports-fan scarves. —Apollinaire Scherr
