The title of this exhibition seems to suggest an opposition, or duality; or it may be making a point about perception. The 15 Belgian artists on view were chosen because they do not succumb to high-flown philosophies or conceptual head games, but instead hone in on quotidian details, the everyday world—much as their peers in China do. So cultural affinity beween Belgium and China is also a subject. Among the artists in the show are Francis Alÿs, Harold Ancart, and Luc Tuymans. —E.C.
