In October 2021, when the pandemic was still keeping people out of theaters, Richard Hollman premiered a play on the subject. Staged outside in the East Meadow of Central Park, the show saw friends Matty and Drew hanging out together for the first time in months. As they played a game of catch, the ways they’d grown apart slowly became clear. As with the 2021 staging, the show’s revival this summer requires audience members to listen-in via pocket radio, as if they are overhearing two strangers in a park.
