A graffiti library belonging to the Chinese-American painter Martin Wong is on display at the Museum of the City of New York. Comprised of artists such as Keith Haring, Lee Quiñones, Lady Pink, and Futura 2000, the assortment illustrates the progression of street art since its beginning in the 1970s. More than 300 works show the movement’s transition from sidewalks and scaffolding to museum walls. It’s a visual timeline that emphasizes Wong’s taste as a collector as well as his concerns as an artist. —Henry McGrath
