As I prepare for my first Milan Fashion Week since 2020, I mentally organize my wardrobe, pulling out items I see stacked high up in a closet that I can only reach via a perilous trip up a folding ladder.

Gone are the days when outfits were given to me to wear in the front row. I am now faced with the burdensome task of thinking ahead and dressing for the occasion, something I haven’t done for a while.
