Just more than a year after the centennial celebration of the 1918 births of Leonard Bernstein and Jerome Robbins, there’s a West Side Story free-for-all. Steven Spielberg has hired the choreographer Justin Peck to work on a new film version of the 1957 musical. And on Broadway, West Side Story comes back with choreography by the minimalist Belgian, Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker, a key talent in the team that’s reimagining the masterpiece.
