Walter Pfeiffer: In Good Company

Installation view of “Walter Pfeiffer: In Good Company,” 2026.

Until Sept 13
Via Nizza, 230, 10126 Torino TO

Walter Pfeiffer grew up in Switzerland in the 1960s. “It was horrible!” he has said. “It was dead.” Pfeiffer spent the following decades building his own reality. His photographs, shot mostly in Zurich, are populated by young men in states of undress, rendered in saturated color and a flash that makes them feel slightly electric. Pfeiffer has just turned 80. The Pinacoteca Agnelli in Turin, perched atop the old Fiat factory, is now staging the first major institutional survey of his work in Italy, bringing together over 100 photographs spanning nearly six decades of personal work and commercial editorials. —Elena Clavarino
