The Greek gallerist and surfer Theo Niarchos is perhaps best known for 6817 Melrose, his art gallery in Los Angeles, where he took over the building and commandeered the billboard on its roof. Niarchos works with up-and-coming artists, but also with more established contemporaries like Oliver Mosset. This exhibition, curated by Niarchos, brings together artists from four prominent Saint-Moritz galleries, asking them to gaze upon Chesa Planta, the 18th-century mansion that hosts NOMAD. Who populated its hallowed halls? Who was behind its decadent decor? As is often the case with Niarchos, the results are unexpected. —Elena Clavarino
