Thanks to the deluge that is her highly-publicized, record-shattering global tour, we’ve never been better acquainted with the eras of Taylor Swift. A free temporary exhibition at London’s V&A is now telling the story of those eras from a fashion standpoint. Created by Tom Piper, the designer behind the Royal Shakespeare Company stage sets and the Tower of London poppies installation, the exhibition traces Swift’s Grammy-winning career (she’s won 14) in 13 distinct chapters. The items on display range from customized cowboy boots from her early-aughts country era to the black dress she wore in the music video for “Fortnight,” her single with Post Malone from the 2024 album The Tortured Poets Department. Some of the items—which explore her childhood and the early days of her career—are on display for the first time ever. —Paulina Prosnitz
