With Broadway shuttered and countless other cultural institutions closed for the foreseeable future, artists and performers are finding new ways to work. As the saying goes, “the show must go on.” Taking inspiration from the age-old adage and recognizing the healing potential of creativity, Howie Michael Smith and Andy Truschinski have created a YouTube web series that confronts the coronavirus through creativity. Each episode features a performed song and a panel of sorts, one that brings together actors, dancers, painters, researchers, and pandemic experts to discuss the ways that the arts can help us cope while sheltering in place. —C.J.F.
