The Fabricated Landscape

July 26, 2021 – Jan 17, 2022
4400 Forbes Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15213, United States

From Zimbabwe to Japan, Scandinavia to Latin America, the last four decades in the field of architecture have been marked by mind-bending change. Traditional craft has been fortified by digital technology, and everything from large-scale infrastructure to the private home has morphed. This exhibition looks at 10 avant-garde practices from the last four decades, examining them through models, assemblages, paper reproductions, and textiles. There’s Anne Holtrop’s work in Bahrain, Anna Heringer’s project in Bangladesh. The show also includes acclaimed architectural photographs by Bas Princen, Iwan Baan, and Luisa Lambri. —E.C.
