Any show that oscillates between freshman girls in their first week of college and a wedding eight years later is a show I will watch. Carola Lovering’s best-selling novel Tell Me Lies is the basis for Hulu’s new series, executive produced by Emma Roberts. (Roberts and Karah Preiss, with whom she founded the company Belletrist, adapted the book for TV.) Tell Me Lies follows Lucy Albright (Grace Van Patten, of Nine Perfect Strangers) and Stephen DeMarco (Jackson White, of Mrs. Fletcher) as they meet, fall in love, and move into a toxic and intoxicating relationship that will take them through the next decade.
