No question about it, this summer is one for the great outdoors. Accordingly, Louisiana has installed three art experiences in its world renowned sculpture park, open to the sky. In the Lake Garden, Yayoi Kusama’s 800 Shiny Bubbles reflects clouds overhead, while Susan Philipz’s Singing Trees sway to contemplative sounds. Downhill, in the Lower Park area, the French football star Zidane takes over an enormous HD screen in Zidane: A 21st Century Portrait (2006). And for those visitors who are in for a full-day’s visit, 50 events are scheduled for the Park Stage over the course of the season—live talks, theater, music, readings, and more. —E.C.
