Keeping track of the works of John Zorn—composer, impresario, and genius loci of New York’s downtown music scene—is like counting the drops from a geyser, and trying to remember each drop’s esoteric title. Keter, named for the highest of the kabbalistic Sephirot, here receives a highly personal and quite ravishing interpretation from Argentinian singer Sofia Rei and French-Guadaloupean multi-instrumentalist J.
