The Brazilian photographer Sebastião Salgado, born in 1944, has traveled across 120 countries. He’s photographed seals at rest in the Arctic, the snowy peaks of the Andes, and the silhouettes of men in canoes in the tropics. Some of his best work is done close to home, in the Amazon, where he’s explored rivers and mountains, and befriended Indigenous inhabitants. In this exhibition, 42 photographs from all the world’s continents examine the subject of water and the environmental crisis. The show is curated by Salgado’s partner in life and work, Lélia Wanick Salgado. —Elena Clavarino
