The word “raqs,” is Urdu/Hindustani, Arabic, and Persian for “movement, whirling.” The Raqs Media Collective is about process and transformation, which also involves movement and whirling. In 13 installations, “Still More World” focuses on Doha’s urban light—the effect of its energy on people, crowds, and the way it contrasts with nature and organic materials. These themes are being addressed in art around the world. —L.J.
