In some ways the shift to digital marks a return to the fashion show’s roots. Gone are the influencers, the street-style stars, the paparazzi. Instead, emphasis returns to the thing that started it all—the clothes. For the first time, the Haute Couture collections are to be exhibited online. Videos of the Fall/Winter 2020/2021 offerings from accredited maisons, accessible on a dedicated platform, will roll out on a schedule that echoes the flow of a normal fashion week.
