Set in 1920s Paris, Only Gold centers around a royal family from the fictional kingdom of Cosimo. The King takes his family to France on a journey to find a suitable husband for his daughter. Along the way, he riles up Parisians. The show marks the theatrical writing debut of Andy Blankenbuehler, the Tony-winning choreographer of Hamilton and In the Heights. He has enlisted the English pop star Kate Nash to write the show’s lyrics. Nash also stars in the production, sharing the stage with several Hamilton alumni. —Jensen Davis
